Who is TIFRA?
TIFRA is a French brand that celebrates products with character and Moroccan craftsmanship. We select authentic, elegant, and carefully presented products, prioritizing quality, traceability, and respect for tradition.
Where does your saffron come from?
Our saffron comes from Taliouine, in Morocco, a region recognized for its terroir and ancestral expertise in saffron cultivation.
Is TIFRA saffron organic?
Yes, the saffron comes from certified organic production. However, as the packaging process carried out by TIFRA is not yet certified organic, the finished product is not marketed with the European organic label.
Why choose saffron in filaments?
Filaments make it easier to recognize the quality of the saffron and naturally preserve its aromas, color, and fragrance. They also limit the risks of mixing or adulteration sometimes encountered with powdered saffron.
Why is your saffron considered premium?
Our saffron is selected for the quality of its filaments, its intense fragrance, and its coloring power. It is then carefully packaged in France in a case designed to protect it from light and moisture.
How do you use saffron?
To fully release its aromas, lightly crush a few filaments and let them steep for 10 to 20 minutes in a little warm water, milk, or broth. Then, add the infusion to your preparation.
What quantity should be used?
Saffron is used in very small quantities. For a dish for four people, generally count between 8 and 15 filaments depending on the desired intensity. It is best to start with a small amount and then adjust.
In which recipes can saffron be used?
Saffron pairs well with tagines, rice, sauces, fish, pastries, and hot drinks. It can also be infused in milk, herbal tea, or simply hot water.
Does saffron have any benefits?
Saffron naturally contains several compounds studied by research, notably crocin, crocetin, safranal, and picrocrocin. It remains above all a food spice and does not replace a balanced diet or medical treatment.
How should saffron be stored?
Keep the vial tightly closed, in a dry place, at room temperature, and away from light, heat, and moisture. Avoid placing it near stovetops or in a refrigerator.
How long does saffron last?
When stored correctly, saffron retains its qualities for a long time. To make the most of its aromas, respect the date indicated on the packaging and carefully close the vial after each use.
Why can the color of the filaments vary slightly?
Saffron is a natural agricultural product. Its color, the size of its filaments, and the intensity of its fragrance may vary slightly depending on the harvest, without affecting its quality.

Our saffron is carefully packaged in France, in compliance with hygiene, traceability, and control procedures adapted for food products.
When will I be able to order?
Our shop is in preparation. Products marked as "coming soon" are not yet open for orders.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery is free on purchases of €69 or more, subject to the conditions and destination displayed at checkout.

What should I do if my package arrives damaged?
Contact us promptly using the form available on the site, attaching your order number and photos of the package and product. We will review your request as soon as possible.
Can I return a food product?
For hygiene and food safety reasons, a product that has been opened or whose protective seal has been removed cannot be returned. For any unopened product, consult our return policy or contact us before shipping.
